Montana Transit Association

Spring Conference

The Montana Transit Association will hold its Spring Conference and Vendor EXPO at the Holiday Inn - Bozeman April 12-14, 2006. The conference is open to all MTA members, as well as transit providers throughout the state, elected officials and anyone interested in community and rural transit in Montana. The conference is structured to provide persons involved in transit with tools and information needed to increase efficiency through innovative methods that have worked in other communities and states.

This year's topics will include:

  • Reauthorization,
  • New 5311 & 5310 providers,
  • Community Plans,
  • Technical Assistance Needs,
  • Headstart, and
  • Medicaid.

We are also in the process of trying to find a futurist as our Keynote Speaker. We've asked Justin and Eric, Braun Corporation, to join us again and conduct the mechanics wheelchair lift training. We'll have PASS training on Monday & Tuesday, April 10-11. We've also invited CTAA, APTA, the Montana Congressional Delegation, FTA and MDT.

We'll still be holding the Silent Auction to benefit the Orval Meyer Scholarship Fund and the Awards Banquet.
